MyCore Studio was founded by Rima Faour in December 2021. Born and raised in the UAE, Rima is constantly on the move herself and wanted to share a unique movement and wellness experience with the community.
Rima’s bio will not contain any anatomy nor training background as Rima started both her Pilates and Yoga journeys as a ‘client’ and average person who sat for too many hours behind a desk in an IT job. Having struggled with weight fluctuations, stress, posture, lower back, and core strength herself, it was no brainer for her to take on Pilates and Yoga years ago. She swears by the effect of both Pilates and Yoga on both her mind and body to a point where she wanted to share that with the community.
I wanted to create a different workout experience for every body type , age, and gender! ‘ I want for everyone to feel stronger in the body and mind and feel like they are in their second home where it is safe, cozy, and where every individual feels supported in achieving their personal goals. There shouldn’t be any reason for someone to not move , not even an injury! ‘ says Rima.
It is all about the instructors. At MyCore we are a team of movement professionals who are experienced, qualified, and very importantly passionate about helpings other. ‘ The attention to details is an art we master as a team and our quality of the classes is what has been highly appreciated by our clients’ Rima explains. Our goal is to see our community strong and healthy through holistic, restorative, challenging workouts and ultimately developing a strong core that is the fundamental building block for all other movements.
Mycore’s mission is to support and share our love for not only Pilates/Yoga/Barre but also holistic wellness with the local community.
Because you are at the core of everything we do, we aim to help you become more body aware and guide you through your workout . We want you to understand how movement will be supporting and enhancing your daily activities. We believe we will achieve this through:
1. The core-strengthening exercises
2. Stimulation of your brain to control your movement
3. Proper breathing techniques
4. Incorporating rehabilitation
We believe that this necessitates postural assessments and smaller more focused classes that nurture collaboration and inclusion, provide each student personalized attention and bring the community together through mindful exercises. These smaller classes offer our students all the benefits of individual lessons along with the crucial social relationships that make our classes a welcoming fitness experience.
Our vision is to cement our studios as a crucial and valued component of the local community. By staying true to the nature of Pilates, we aim to inspire a love for fitness and provide a welcome space that caters to everyone, male and female, young and old and of all fitness levels, who are eager to challenge their body and mind. Our goal is to see our community strong and healthy through holistic, restorative, challenging workouts and ultimately developing a strong core that is the fundamental building block for all other movements
Creating a fun, inclusive and socially connected culture where everyone is welcome and supported.
Where every student is treated as an individual and allowed to learn at their own pace with tailored and fulfilling workouts.
With our strategic partnerships with the community’s best life coaches, athletes, nutritionists, and psychologists, we bring the latest advice and techniques to create a stronger, healthier, and happier you.
